At SIDEC we are dedicated to promoting accountability, transparency, and social justice through strategic advocacy, research, and citizen engagement. Our work focuses on five key thematic areas: Election Observation, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Research & Report Writing, Tax Justice, and Anti-Scam Initiatives. Through these thematic areas, we are committed to building a society where governance is transparent, justice is upheld, and every citizen’s rights are protected.
We promote credible, transparent, and inclusive electoral processes through election observation, voter education, and stakeholder engagement. We deploy trained observers, document key developments, and advocate for greater participation, especially among women, youth, and marginalized groups.>
We work to prevent gender-based violence through awareness creation, community engagement, and advocacy. We collaborate with stakeholders to promote safe spaces, challenge harmful norms, and empower women and girls to live free from violence.>
We conduct research and produce evidence-based reports to support advocacy and informed decision-making. Through data collection and analysis, we generate insights that promote accountability, transparency, and inclusive development.>
